Yet another stonking month of hard work, generosity and bloody goodwill from you lovely lot! LRF are running out of adjectives to describe your efforts.  The last being “FANTASTIC”!

And what a great day out on The Rumble, brilliant, and thanks to Cahlers King-Holford and the Rumble team for setting it up, and to Caterham for opening up the showroom as a start and finish point and for laying on such a great BBQ bash in the evening.  So, Claresh, how many lives did you use up worrying about the event?  Twas a great day, in fact wicked eh?

Our Webmaster lent me his car so I could give Gary Kirage, another ex-leukaemic, the Rumble in a se7en. “Course,” says Barry, “You’ll have to pick the car up from Jim’s as it’s just had a new sump fitted.”  No problem, I thought, completely missing the reason why it had to have a new sump fitted and completely forgetting why I dry-sumped my 7 all those years ago!  Two hefty blokes in Barry’s car, lots of country lanes later and there is no evidence that the front tyres have been on the ground at all that day! Ho-hum fingers crossed!

If you’ve never been round the Nürburgring and never intend to, don’t, repeat don’t, under any circumstances buy or watch the CD – your mind will be convincingly changed!  Hey Alex! £10 of the money Richard sent me seems to be a donation from you as acknowledgement that an R500 is in fact superior after all! Is that true?

As for you marathon and hill runners, Clive Purvis being the last in a long line of stalwart club members prepared to suffer for a good cause, I really don’t know how you set yourselves up for such ordeals. You have my total admiration.  I’m afraid I’m one of those sad bunnies that always gracelessly flops on the couch until the feeling for exercise passes!

k2rumsuppt.JPG (311140 bytes)As to the Arnie V Peter needle match, well we know Arnie will be at Curborough, he’s actually had his support vehicle sign written up with “Team K2RUM Support Vehicle Thrashing the K’s at Curborough”.  As a preview see photo of K2RUM and R655CMX cuddling up together at the 0-60 start line at Brooklands!

One last thing, can you all please give me an address when you send money, LRF like to thank donors (or is it donators?) personally.
