Millennium Target £100,000 Lap 4
Still to raise: £ 6394.50
Our hero, marathon man Will Paul, fights through the crowd and romps home with a superb time of 4 hours 15 minutes. That time includes a 15-minute push and shove to the start line! Not bad considering Will reckons the training for the event ended up on the day three weeks behind schedule! For all you race watchers, look out for the two NtL cars. Tim Sture and Dave Marson will be carrying NtL decals and accepting donations! Despite the best endeavours of the race series sponsors we have found adequate space down the centre of the bonnet between the louvres.
Yes, I know its a bit cock-eyed on the page but at least I got it in the document and that is an achievement! Month four with eight to go and weve only got to raise £800ish per month or 38p per member per month. Now if everyone threw their loose change into a pint pot every night I guess well easily hit the £100K. It only needs to be shrapnel, no silver required! Come on, we can do it! Mike Barnes Portmeirion run will be getting support from the Colwyn Bay branch of LRF who will be carrying out a street collection. Unfortunately the Portmeirion authorities have banned charity street collections from the village centre. But not to be out done they are doing it a couple of miles away in Portmadoc on Saturday. If any of you get the time or can go to Portmeirion via Portmadoc around 11am 2pm please give them a wave and a nice loud blast of wee beastie exhaust on your way through. It should only take a couple of minutes and will help with their support of the event.
