The LOTUS SEVEN CLUB is the only UK motor club that devotes itself entirely to the Lotus and Caterham Sevens.  We are recognised by both Lotus and Caterham as the official enthusiast's club for Sevens, and we are affiliated to the MSA in order that we may promote competitive driving events.

Updates...

You may have noticed that parts of this site haven't been updated for a while. There is a new site at www.lotussevenclub.com and we are migrating the content as quickly as we can. The one area that won't be moving just yet is Competitors' Korner, but I expect that to move before the start of next season.

Using this form will not guarantee you a place in the sprint, or give your entry a higher priority, it's purely for information gathering.

Blatchat...

Seems to be a problem at the ISP, neither of our servers is available, harrumph. Logged a support request and rang support to chivvy them along, sounded like he was getting dressed.

Update from ISP at 09:24 "It would appear a core piece of our internal LAN has failed causing a Dedicated Server Rack to loose (sic) connectivity. Our technicians are currently investigating - a further update will be issued at 10:00"

Update at 10:24 "We have bypassed the offending piece of equipment from the network and connectivity to the rack is now available again. A full investigation into why the fault occured will now be carried out and steps will be taken to ensure it will not happen again. Our sincere apologies for this outage."

Ho hum.

Fork Handles: Back to the Future...

The Four Counties area meeting has moved.  Meetings will now be held at the White Hart in Godstone, an original meeting place for the Lotus Seven Club, way back in 1973.  Wonder if it's changed much? Or is it like the Seven, timeless?  Oh yes, and don't go on the 3rd Tuesday will you? There won't be many there, they'll have been there the previous week, the 2nd Tuesday.

The Baton Has Been Passed On...

Caterham Cars has been the subject of a 'Management Buy In'.  After successfully holding the baton for many years, Graham and Simon Nearn and David Wakefield have passed it to a new five director board.  The new management team, led by Ansar Ali, a former General manager at Lotus, is backed by Corven Ventures.

We wish the new team the same success that Graham, David and Simon have brought to the company and the Seven, and we wish the outgoing team all the best for the future, and thank them for being such good custodians of the legend.
